Harley Quinn and the Joker

“…that’s cute. You think you’re scary. Well mister, I’ve seen scary and you don’t have his smile.” ❤️HQ🖤

This was inspired after a lazy Saturday afternoon of watching Suicide Squad.

This look was fun to do and outside of my norm! I always get nervous about doing gears and industrial/steampunk looks.

Look of the Day

Every once in a while, I enjoy going outside of the box and do some character/theme makeup. This was an entry to for a goddess contest I did. The goddess I chose was Asteria: goddess of the stars and last immortal to live with man.

I didn’t have gold lipstick or white eye liner at the time so I cheated a bit. The white is just acrylic paint. The gold is gold acrylic paint with a bronze eye shadow layered on top. In order for the colors to pop for a galaxy look, I took black eye shadow and blended it with my fingers. I wanted it faint enough so that it wasn’t overpowering the look. I did the purple and blue the same way by blending it with my fingers rather than a brush.

Overall, one of my most enjoyable looks to do. I like being able to take an idea and run with it.

ABH Modern Renaissance

“Makeup is not a tool meant to make an ugly thing beautiful. It is meant only to magnify the beauty that already exists.”

Oh, the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. These 14 shades of amazing powder shadows will help you produce masterpieces that Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci would be proud of. I have thoroughly enjoyed this palette on all sorts of looks from daytime to nighttime, simple to eccentric. Each shade is highly pigmented where you only need to dab your brush into the palette to receive an amazing amount of color. However, that isn’t the only benefit you get with this palette. These shadows are also easy to blend! So easy that I have been able to use all of the colors over the past few months since purchasing it in August. I honestly was worried that I wouldn’t use all the colors. I was definitely wrong. In addition to being an overall amazing palette, MR is also good with being a transitional palette to help you experiment outside of your comfort zone.

The MR also comes with a dual-ended brush. I have been able to create looks with only using this brush. One end is extremely soft and fluffy to help buff and blend out the shadows. The other end is a soft flat brush with helps more with precision.

I highly recommend in investing in this palette. Even if you only could save up for one. This is THE ONE.  Worth every single penny. The MR costs $42 and you can get it at Ulta, Sephora, or on ABH website.
