November Musing.

November Musing.

The days are now getting shorter and colder. However, it is a very mild November for Michigan. We only experienced snow once in my area which is very surprising as we normally get a few storms by now.

At the beginning of the month, I let my blogging wings stretch. I launched into the self-hosted world with a brand-new design from Blogerize. This was a huge step for me since I actually decided to purchase this piece of the internet. It wasn’t hard to do or expensive to do. I thankfully had the support team from Blogerize to help me transfer everything over. Now having placed money towards JoyouslyJess, I feel more of a stronger connection and commitment to it.

Not only did I switched the way I blog, I also launched my YouTube channel. This was an easier and inexpensive step. I overcame my fears of putting myself out there. I always felt nervous about videotaping myself but I’m getting more and more comfortable with each video I do. I use iMovie to do my edits to help it go smoothly. Overall I have been enjoying this new experience.

As I look out the window, with the frost from this chilly morning now melting, I maul over November more. This month is devoted to being thankful. The first google search definition of thankful that shows up is “pleased and relieved”. Being thankful brings that little warmth to your heart similar to a tasty hot drink on a snowy morning. Everyone has something to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for the opportunities presented to me, an amazing support system, a warm house, food in the fridge, and two snuggly pups and my significant other to sleep next to in a cozy clean bed. I often forget to appreciate the little things and that bad days doesn’t mean I have a bad life. The obstacles that are in my journey are for me to grow from not to be dragged down by. I feel like I’m blooming into a person I’ve dreamed I would be. Understanding this helps my heart feel lighter and my overall well-being feels at peace.

November treated me well. December should be a fun time. This will be the first year I’m jumping on the Christmas spirit and sprinkling holiday cheer all over the house. I can’t wait to show you all!
